This is my very first contribution to the Super Six Sing-Along blog as Anna! It’s a re-write of When Will My Life Begin, and is sung by Anna to Elsa. I hope you enjoy it! (P.S., if you like the idea of this, please do audition - casting calls end on the 25th!)
So, here we go - the usual morning greeting:
Knock on the door and wait for a minute or two…
…No response? Oh, well, I’ll just come back later…
Try again, maybe then I’ll have more luck than before.
But still the door stays shut,
Just like it’s always been.
I knock and call your name,
Hoping you might listen!
I’m getting desperate, here, Elsa I’m at a loss,
Wondering ‘When will you let me in?’
I’ve tried everything I know to get your attention -
Won’t you come out and build a snowman with me…?
You’re my big sis, I just need a few suggestions!
How to get through to you, how can I make you see?
That though this door stays shut,
I won’t give up on you.
No matter what it takes,
I know we’ll make it through.
Maybe I’ll knock once more?
Elsa, what can I do?
I’m here just like I have always been…
And I keep hoping, and trying, and waiting, and wondering -
When will you let me in?
They open the gates.
The first time in years, and I can’t hardly wait…
What will it be like, to see all those smiles?
If I see my sister’s, it will all be worth my while…
